Dr. Jane Humphries

Dr. Jane Humphries currently serves as Professional eLearning Specialist at the McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership at National Louis University supporting the AIM4Excellence™ National Director Credential. Her experience in early care and education has included a multitude of positions to include being an administrator of an early childhood program, creator of professional development systems, child and parenting specialist, college instructor, researcher, and published author. She is proud to have a woman-owned company, Creative Educational Strategies & Services—better known as Fiddle Focus® (www.fiddlefocus.com). Creator of the Busy Fingers, a quiet fiddling option for children and adults, this sensory tool has been found to be an ideal solution. She and several colleagues provide excellent professional development workshops and seminars on a multitude of topics within the field of child, human, and speech/language development. A workshop presenter with colleague Kari Rains at the 2015 ASHA conference, their topic on Engaging Sensory Children: Make It Practical and Fun was highly attended. Dr. Jane has earned undergraduate degrees in Family and Child Development, a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and a doctoral degree in Occupational and Adult Education from Oklahoma State University.
